Lorretta Anderson

http://www.greengeckobeads.com/
Compiled by Cathy Charles with
special thanks to Lorri for sharing her time and knowledge.
| Passionate and down to earth, Lorri is
a great role model for beaders. She happily shares her knowledge and
actively promotes glass beading within Australia and overseas. Lorri's
interest in glass beads stemmed from her first beading hobby in polymer
clay.

As most people do, Lorri started out on
the Hot Head over 18 months ago. Not just any Hot Head, as the previous
owner was Marie-Claude Chapman. After approximately 10 hours of torch time
over 3 months teaching herself, Lorretta sought out a mixed fuel
torch (Nortel Minor). Having seen Lorri at the torch, she definitely
likes it a very hot flame - even on a minor! |
"Good
to learn about marketing and photography if interested in selling beads "

In a household of five children all under
10, you would expect Lorri to have no time for beading. However, she has
taught herself using the internet and books and is now considered among
our top Aussie beaders with her increasing fan base both here in Australia
and overseas.
Lorri's other passion is her family. After the
trauma of a caesarean with her third child, Lorri found herself
investigating and developing an interest in attachment parenting and
alternative birthing. Having seen Lorri's kids, I can attest to the fact
they are well adjusted and beautifully behaved! |
